The things you will need:

  • Mug
  • Whisker
  • Table spoon

The ingredients are:

  • Half an egg (i added some vanilla to that)
  • 1 tbsp of vegetable oil
  • 1 generous tbsp of milk
  • 1 and 1/2 tbsp of Nutella
  • 1 generous tbsp of self-raising flour.
  • 1 tbsp of sugar .. i choose brown sugar because it’s just better for baking.
  • 1 tbsp of coco powder.
  • Some chocolate chips
  • A scoop of vanilla ice-cream (optional)

First of all, you need to combine the oil, milk, Nutella and half an egg in your mug and mix it throughly .. If you’re wondering on how to “get” half an egg you just simply need to break one egg and mix it then pour half of the mixture in your mug.

Then you add the dry ingredients and mix .. just make sure there no clumps in the mixture.

After that you can add as much as you want of the chocolate chips and give it one last stir.

Now to bake this cake you can either microwave it or put it in the oven. I did use the microwave and i microwaved it for 10 seconds and then checked and i did this whole process for about 45 seconds because you’re not supposed to over cook it if you want it all moist and gooey. You can also top it off with a scoop of an ice-cream or whip-cream, just follow your instincts on that one.

AND TAAAAADAAAA you got your very own delicious Nutella Mug cake

I hope that you enjoy your Nutella mug cake if you’re making one.

Book Journals

FullSizeRender 14

Are you one of those people who try to update their goodreads challenge at the end of the year and they’re totally lost and confused on whatever they have read this book THIS year or the year before that? i don’t know about you but that’s totally me. This year i decided to put an end to that problem by doing TWO things .. first thing is to update my goodreads after finishing each book. The second thing is to get a book journal and write down my thoughts and review of the book.

I’m proud to say that so far I’ve stuck to doing that with the help of three different book journals and i thought i’d try to help others who have a very Dory brain like mine by sharing the three different types of journals that I’ve been using.

FullSizeRender 15

Starting with the biggest journal that i own. I got this journal from an english shop called Paperchase and they have some really cute stuff in there. However, the size of this book journal is actually big .. its 116x210x17mm which is basically an american paperback length but the width is about a book and a half, totally nailed the measurements right?

This Journal contains 160 pages and its divided into two sections, the first section is the “Books to Read/Books borrowed-lent” which is really useful for people who tend to borrow books from libraries so they could keep track of them.

FullSizeRender 10

The second section is the “Book Reviews” section .. and that’s obviously for writing down your review.

FullSizeRender 11

What i really like about this journal is that i get a very wide and lengthy space to write one of my very long reviews, you know some books just fill you up with words and you gotta vomit them after you’re done reading those books (sorry for being gross!). it also has an expanding pocket at the end of it for bookmarks and notes.

If you’re interested it in this journal  you can get it from here.

FullSizeRender 8

The second journal is personally my favorite one and its called “Reading journal” by Potter Style. it’s a medium sized journal and it can fit into many handbags, the exact size is 5.80(w) x 6.84(h) x 0.66(d). It has 160 pages and its filled with many things.

DSC_0025

As you can see the reviewing pages have the title at the top and many things underneath it to fill in that are really helpful. i specially love to fill in those stars because it’s fun! and the size of the pages are very convenient.

FullSizeRender 9

Also after every 5 reviewing pages you come across those fun pages that you fill in. For example, in here it’s the reading tree, there’s also a literary superlatives and many more that are simply awesome and the fun thing about those is that they feel like a treat for you after reviewing 5 whole books. There are also more things at the end of the journal that i forgot to take pictures of and they’re basically lists of suggestions that are helpful to inspire you to read, your own list of books to read, author talks, borrowing and loaning records and book source address book at theeeee very end. Told ya it’s a full journal .. and you can get it from Amazon or Barnes & Noble or even Book Depository

FullSizeRender 12

The third and final journal is the “what i read” journal that is also by Potter Style. i got this journal from a subscription box called Owlcrate and i totally fell in love with it because its very handy and small. Its 4.1 x 0.5 x 5.1 inches which is about the whole size of my nephews hand. There are only 128 pages in this journal.

FullSizeRender 13

However, you don’t get two pages for every review like the other journals. There are some quotes inserted in every couple of pages and there also some pages that you fill in with your favorite quotes and things like that. This journal is very light-weight and i love taking it with me for when I’m traveling but bear in mind that it’s small and sometimes you can only fit in some bullet points and not the whole review .

I really hope that my post was helpful to you and if you see something that i own and you want me to review it feel free to comment that in here or on Instagram  I’d be happy to do so.

Worlds of Ink and Shadow

Worlds of Ink and Shadow by Lena Coakley

So first off I want to make it clear that I know absolutely nothing about the Brontë siblings (I’m probably the only person 😂) which is good somehow because I feel like now I know them from scratch although the book is fictional, at the end when I read the “after world” things started clicking and making sense and now I’m dying to read Jane Eyre and Wuthering Heights because they’re written by Emily and Charlotte and all of those people/characters that mean so much to me. The idea of this book is so brilliant to the point where you lose conscious of reality and you start believing everything in the book. I absolutely loved the story and the moral meaning behind it and I actually feel like those characters grew on me although I read the book in a very short period of time, I straight up flew through the pages and now I’m really curious about the Brontë siblings. It was a really good book that I truly enjoyed reading 💜. One more thing .. I need an Alexander Rogue in my life 🎩.

Hotel Ruby

It’s a mysterious, complex and a twisted book that talks about a grand hotel that the main character Audrey, her brother and father are staying in on their way to their grandmother house after their mother (wife) died. Hotel Ruby is not like any other hotel it’s fancy, luxurious and also mysterious. While she’s staying there she meets a hot guest called Elias and many other people but like I said before hotel Ruby is not like any hotel and it holds many secrets. I enjoyed this book and I enjoyed the way it ended because I wasn’t expecting to end that way but it did and that’s just awesome

Boys, Bears and a Serious Pair of Hiking Boots

After finishing a big fantasy book I felt the need to read a cute teensy YA contemporary book that is really fun to read, gladly this book delivered that. “Jenna may hail from the ’burbs of New Jersey, but Green Teen activism is her life. So when her mom suggests they spend the summer at Grandma’s Florida condo, Jenna pleads instead to visit her hippie godmother, Susie, up in rural Canada. Jenna is psyched at the chance to commune with this nature she’s heard about — and the cute, plaidwearing boys she’s certain must roam there. But after a few run-ins with local wildlife (from a larger-than-life moose to Susie’s sullen Goth stepdaughter to a hot but hostile boy named Reeve), Jenna gets the idea that her long-held ideals, like vegetarianism and conservation, don’t play so well with this population of real outdoorsmen. A dusty survival guide offers Jenna amusing tips on navigating the wilderness — but can she learn to navigate the turns of her heart? ” so the summary from goodreads makes it sound too cheesy 😂 but I really loved it and had tons of fun while reading it

Da Vinci’s Tiger

Da Vinci’s Tiger by L.M. Elliott

Da Vinci’s Tiger is a brilliant book, at the beginning I found it a bit hard to fully understand and digest but it became easier at the end that might because you kinda get used to the way they communicate and the setting grows on you. I would have rated this book 2.5 stars but I found the ending really good and realistic. The author creativity is amazing to the point where you start to feel the depth of her devotion to the art world, it certainly made me more interested in art and Leonardo Da Vinci

The Queen of The Tearling

The Queen of The Tearling

This book like many other books talk about a young girl turning to a queen but what’s different about this is that girl knows that she’s a queen and she was trained for that her whole life, you actually get to see the way she adapts to being a queen and how her actions can effect her whole country. This book is good but it didn’t interest me at all, in fact for me it was slow paced compared to other books that have similar stories but at the end of the book i felt like 20% of me got interested in the book and the other 80% of me was like “WHY IS TAKING SO LONG??!?! PLEASE END MY MISERY” 😂💔 I’ll read the second book but not soon.

Better off Friends

I just finished this book and I’m so high with happiness right now! So let me explain what this book is about, this book talk about two best friends .. A boy and a girl. It begins with the beginning of their friendship and you (the reader) get live their friendship with them and ofc face off all the struggles they had to face. As they grow older they start to feel something more but is this worth losing their friendship over? Guess you have to read it to find out ❤️ This book is the perfect book to read around valentines time, specially if you Love this type of romantic books ✨ I went through this book really fast although I had to stop to study but trust me if I didn’t have to do that I wouldn’t have stopped reading! I just loved everything about this book, it was light, delightful and cute. I also felt like I can really relate to Macallan (the heroine) and how she likes distractions … Just putting that out there 😂.

The Sirens

The Sirens by Kiera Cass

4.5/5 Stars

IMG_0900

“Kahlen is a Siren, bound to serve the Ocean by luring humans to watery graves with her voice, which is deadly to any human who hears it. Akinli is human—a kind, handsome boy who’s everything Kahlen ever dreamed of. Falling in love puts them both in danger . . . but Kahlen can’t bear to stay away. Will she risk everything to follow her heart?”
So this story is about Sirens, I didn’t know what Sirens are before I started this book but this book explains it so well although at the beginning I kept on imagining them as mermaids and they’re similar in some way but the more you know about them the more you realize they don’t. It’s a tempting dreadful bound so this book is emotional, specially after Khalen fell in love with a guy. The groundwork is laid out so well but I kept on having questions 🤔 I really enjoyed reading it and it’s one of those “You have to finish me in one setting” books because the chapters are divided so well and the book is exciting ♥️.
⚠️ Spoiler Alert ⚠️ So I really loved the concept of this story specially since I love Greek mythology and I loved the ocean. The ocean is the most complex thing in this book, you can’t hate her and you can’t love her and her bound with the girls is just amazing to read about. The love story between Kahlen and Akinli is cute and sweet but I couldn’t feel the depth of it, I felt like Kahlen didn’t really explain what she sees in Akinli that made him the “one”. What if another guy came in and did what he did will he also be the “one”? Although I really love Akinli and his man bun 😚 The sisterhood is also beautiful, the way they take care of each other and look out for one another is heartwarming 🌊

Pride & Prejudice

You know the whole time I was reading this book I kept on thinking about how it was released like almost 200 years ago and how many generations have read it and that made the whole experience more fascinating. Now let’s talk about the story, as many of you know that this story is about the 5 Bennett girls who have different characters, hobbies and looks and they’re all out in “season” that means they’re all willing to get married from the youngest who’s 15 to the oldest who I think is 24 but that’s not actually the whole purpose of the story. This book mainly follows this awesome character called Elizabeth and I’m not going to get into more details because I’ll probably spoil the whole thing 🎩 I need myself a Mr. Darcy because he’s the perfect gentlemen and I really loved Jane so much although most people are in love with Lizzie, I just feel like I understand Jane more although Lizzie is a very strong and smart character 📖 after finishing the book I immediately watched the movie and I fell in love with it ❤️ I watched it years ago but I didn’t get a thing and I don’t even think that I watched the whole movie but now I’m just obsessed with how amazing and perfect everything is in this movie 📽 can we just talk about how President snow is Mr. Bennet? And what’s even more shocking is that Johanna is actually Lydia
